Tango is Culture

Since 2014 Martin and Ayelen work on an exquisite dance style for Tango Argentino which transmits the style of tango salon in an extraordinary elegance.

Both have realized various Tango Show, amongst „Piazzolla and his masters“ and „Trasnochando“ which were played in the Theatre of Baden-Baden.

The subsidiaries of AbrazTango tango school in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden are managed by them since 2020 and they travel internationally as dancers and teachers, 

From high intent is their excellent knowledge of the history of tango and the old milongueros and their dancing steps. 

Their couple was formed in 2018 and have been active in Europe and Latin America ever since, sharing their experience with many amateur and professional dancers in over 16 countries around the globe. Since 2019, they are founders and organizers of international tango festival in Tbilisi (Georgia) - “Tiflis Tango Festival”. Their dance is powerful and intense. The character of it is based on the traditional Tango Salon and the 40s style of Tango Escenario and Fantasia, full of sensitivity and harmony with music, which creates an intimate embrace and sublime energy in the couple. Tekla and Julio are having their own method of teaching and are offering productive and captivating lessons, always warm and dynamic, tailored to the students’ interests, to give them possibility to immerse deeper in Tango and to discover their own spirit - by the essential education and the obvious simplicity.

Their common career starts in August 2015 in Argentina and one of their highlights was conquering the 4th place of the International Tango Championship in Buenos Aires in 2019. Their dance and their lessons are based on the deep understanding of the art and the use of the body in every movement and in the creation of respect and love for the culture of Argentine tango and its traditions. Paulo Bernardo and Sónia Aires are Argentinian Tango teachers in Lisbon. Together they have more than 25 years working with Tango Argentino, divided between Lisbon and Buenos Aires since beginnings of 2000. This passion made them leave their previous jobs and create a dance school in Portugal, named A Todo Tango!

They teach, perform, organize local and international events, and danced in some of the most prestigious milongas in Buenos Aires, and some events in Europe.

The way they feel Tango Argentino, is more in a traditional form, no additives, never loosing is originality, harmony and musicality. They try to honor the “viejos milongueros”, travelling through the past never losing the focus in the present, the moment we are living in.
